Michelle is a HAIRLOCS Extension Specialist. Want to know more about HAIRLOCS? Visit the HAIRLOCS website for the history of hair extensions:
HAIRLOCS originated out of 35 years of experience in the hair trade with a background in the dying art of wig making. HAIRLOCS developed the method of hair extensions superior to braided methods, wax, glue bonding, and heat fused method.
The quality of the hair is raw virgin hair with the cuticle in tact. Many companies strip the cuticle from the virgin hair making it easier for them to work with, but only to find that the hair does not last as long as pure virgin hair.
That is why with the HAIRLOCS method the hair is reusable and therefore more cost effective for the client. We reuse and do a maintenance service instead of replacing the hair when it grows out. The hair can be reused multiple times if it is properly maintained .
HAIRLOCS was born out of a need for hair loss prevention. Not only does HAIRLOCS offer an extensions product, they also customize integration pieces that are available depending on the clients needs and are used in conjunction with HAIRLOCS extensions, a product and service other extension companies simply do not have available.
BUYER BEWARE! When shopping for the right person to do your hair extensions, consider more than just the price alone. A cheap price may
not get the look you desire.
Consider the following factors when comparison shopping:
Who produces the extensions? Is this company dedicated to producing the highest quality in hair extensions? How do they back this up? Consider carefully the technician who will be applying your extensions. You will want a technician who is also an expert in color, perming, haircutting and hairstyling as this will most certainly affect the total look.
Remember that misapplied extensions or mismatched color will give you an artificial look and may even be detectable. Color tones must be expertly matched to blend with your own hair. Also to be considered is hair texture. Fine or course? The amount of curl in your hair, and finally and most important, is a cut to blend the new extensions seamlessly into your own hair for a look that is totally natural.
